MY SYSTEMS

At the moment only one program is ready. More are to come some time. I am planning to write a calendar and a ham radio logbook. All beeing based on myFriends. I also need to put some more effort into an access system. That is login, passwords etc.

myFriends

This is a small program for all of you who has Apache WEB server and mySQL database up and running. It is an adress list using a WEB interface. Download and installation should take about 5 to 10 minutes, so feel free to test it.

Functions

Storing all relevant information like name, adress, e-mail for home and work.
Maintaining family relationships: children, parents, spouses
Connect arbitrary number of structured information to each person on the list:
- Notes, Declare the note names under administration menu. You may then use notes like 'General info', 'Bank account no', 'Favourite breakfast cerial' etc
- Dates, Declare date names under administration menu. You may then use date names like 'Birthdate', 'Wedding date', 'Hire date' etc. The dates are of datatype date, and may be searched, sorted and so on like proper dates.
- Flags, Declare flag names under administration menu. You may then use flag names like 'Friend', 'Foe', 'Relatives', 'Collegues of my wife' etc. Flags has a binary nature. They are either on or off.
Produce sorted lists for printing or CSV lists for spreadsheets etc.

Install

Copy the file below to the directory on your disk from where you want it, eg /opt/www. Go there as root and write the command:

      tar xvf mysys.tar

Read the README document, ALL OF IT, and you should be on your way.
